As of December 2017, HTTPS redirect is now available on blogger for blogs with custom domains. When you enable HTTPS redirect for your blogger blog all the blog visitors will always visit the encrypted version of your blog.

Enabling HTTPS redirect is easy. Simply go to the dashboard of the blog you want to enable HTTPS redirect for. 
  • In the left menu, click "Settings". 
  • In the basic setting options, scroll down to HTTPS section. You will see the following options:

Since I have already enabled HTTPS redirect, both these options show Yes. It usually takes about 15-20 minutes before HTTPS redirection starts to work for a blog. Your website might not be available during that time to your visitors.

The best thing about it is that you can even get HTTPS certificates for your custom domain name. You just have to select "Yes" for HTTPS in settings.


What if you don't enable HTTPS Redirect

If you select Yes for HTTPS availability and select No for HTTPS Redirect then your blog visitors have two options for viewing your blogspot blog:
  • View the unencrypted version of your blog.
  • View the encrypted version of your blog.
