  • Your viewers will see your Google Custom search as your default search, if you have chosen it as your default search.

I would rather prefer only one search, as this is less confusing and why not use only the Google Custom search engine in your Google Site, although it does show Google Adsense ads with it. But you need to configure that separately.

Now search from your Google custom search engine induced in your Google Site and you will see Google Adsense ads in-line with the contextual search terms of your website.

Where to find Your Google Sites website's sitemap

Many people using Google Sites don't know about their website's sitemap and don't find it even after searching on the internet and they probably have to make it themselves. In this article, I will tell you where to find your Google Sites website's sitemap.

The users don't know the fact that Google Sites has already made a sitemap for their website, which they can easily use in bringing traffic to their site by submitting it to Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools.

Your Google Sites website's sitemap

Your Google Sites website's sitemap

Now, if you have a website at Google Sites which has a URL like:

sites.google.com/site/yoursite

Then your website's sitemap address is

sites.google.com/site/yoursite/system/feeds/sitemap

You simply needed to add "system/feeds/sitemap" at the end of the address of your website and you can easily get your website's sitemap.

The sitemap of a website when submitted to Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools helps a lot in driving traffic to your website, because in this way Google and Bing search engines can know about what your website contains, including your sites pages and links.

The google and bing bots will soon index your website's pages. This traffic depends on the content of your website and your site's SEO, which helps drive Search engine traffic to your website. The best thing about search engine traffic is that these people are basically interested in your content and you get this traffic absolutely free.

Hope you liked the article, now you know about your Google Sites website's sitemap. Don't forget to follow my blog Ali Khan Blogs on facebook & Twitter.

The Beginner's Guide to Google Adsense

Google Adsense is an advertising network of Google or it can be said that Google Adsense is an ad serving application of Google. It is run by Google Inc. Google Adsense allows website builders, bloggers, webmasters, video makers, content writers, SEO specialists and other professional workers to earn revenue for their content by showing Google ads on their content like websites, blogs, games, flash applications, videos, search engines and other web applications.

The Beginner's Guide to Google Adsense

Lets start the Beginner's Guide to Google Adsense by Muhammad Ali Khan.

The Beginner's Guide to Google Adsense

Google Adsense is one of the most easiest ways to earn money at home from your website. Basically Google Adsense is an advertising network of Google which displays Google Adwords ads. If you are new to using internet and want to earn money at home, you should try Google Adsense.

Read their policies, and see what you can make for it. I've written an article which will help you with creating a website which will be compatible with Google Adsense. Here I'm going to write about websites and blogs only.

Submitting an Application to Google Adsense

In order to apply for Google Adsense you need a website or a blog to put their ads on. I've written an article about starting a blog on blogger in 2018.

Related: Starting a free blog on blogger in 2018

You'd have to apply to their program by visiting their website Google.com/Adsense. You have to provide them your website or blog's URL and some contact information to submit your application.

Remember that you can not have two Google Adsense accounts and neither you can click your own ads after placing them on your website, otherwise your Google Adsense account will be disabled and you will not be able to apply to Google Adsense again.

You can use Youtube as well

You can also have a video channel on Youtube. Go to www.Youtube.com/yt/creators to apply, you need to have atleast 4000 hours of watch time and a subscriber count of 1000 or above before you can apply.

I've written an article about getting more views and subscribers from youtube. Read it here.

My Preference Blogger

I would prefer a free Blogger Blog for Google Adsense because they don't charge money for creating blogs and Adsense ads can be placed on them easily without any copy-pasting of ad codes.
Blogger only charges you when you buy a domain name (for example www.example.com) from them.

If you use any other website host to submit your application to Google Adsense then be careful to have a custom domain like www.example.com for your website or blog and not some ordinary sub-domain like sub.example.com. They reject these type of applications immediately unless its from a blogspot domain.

Adsense Terms and Conditions, and Policies

You should read out their terms and conditions to see whether your website complies with their policies.

After completing your blog or website & your blog or website has become at least 6 months old you can apply for Google Adsense and after your application is reviewed and approved, you can start serving ads on your website and start generating revenue instantly. As some people say:
Join Google Adsense and maximize your website's earning potential
Google Adsense Ads appear after 10-15 minutes later after you put the ad code on your website.

You don't need to apply for each of your Websites and Blogs

Even if you have a lot of websites, you don't have to apply for each website separately, instead you can directly place ads on them because Google Adsense allows you to place your ad code to any website you want.

However, Google Adsense checks your websites and blogs once to see if they comply with their program policies. Google Adsense has the right to block ads on your website, which they think are ineligible for their program or are against their program policies.

Variety of Ad Sizes

Google Adsense displays ads in the following format, note that each resolution is in pixels:
  • 728 x 90 - Leaderboard
  • 468 x 60 - Standard Banner
  • 234 x 60 - Banner
  • 160 x 600 - Wide Skyscraper
  • 120 x 600 - Skyscraper
  • 120 x 240 - Vertical Banner
  • 336 x 280 - Large Rectangle (has the highest eCPM according to Google Adsense)
  • 300 x 250 - Medium Rectangle (Recommended)
  • 180 x 150 - Small Rectangle
  • 250 x 250 - Square
  • 200 x 200 - Small Square
  • 125 x 125 - Button
These are the formats of Links units of Google Adsense:
  • 728 x 15
  • 468 x 15
  • 200 x 90
  • 180 x 90
  • 160 x 90
  • 120 x 90
The first digit denotes the width of ad and the second digit denotes the height of ad unit. The bigger units like a 728 x 90 leaderboard instead of 468 x 60 banner, 336 x 280 large rectangle instead of a 300 x 250 rectangle and other bigger ad units are recommended by Google Adsense to its users as they have a wider area of content for a visitor to look at, larger ads also earn more as compared to smaller units.

Website Traffic matters a lot

Google Adsense can make a lot of money for you if you have good quality traffic (i.e. high number of visitors) and your website consists of a huge number of pages like for example 200-500 pages and each page consists of text rich content or it can be photos, videos, flash applications, etc., but text is necessary for generating keywords which display relevant ads.

This sounds very difficult to create and manage but it's worth it. When you know you will be rewarded for writing a full-length webpage about some article that you yourself choose, you may write almost everything you know about that article.

Website Traffic defines your Website or Blog

The major difficult problem that most website developers and bloggers face about getting an account from Google Adsense is because of the less visitors they are getting from the web. I too have such problems for my blog, you can read "Steps to make your blog popular" and "Getting traffic from Google and Google Webmaster tools" posts for that, this may increase your website traffic some-what but you should write more and add lots of content to your website which automatically increases your website rank for most search engines.

Organic Traffic

The other thing that you need is organic traffic, which are the people that reach your website through searching for content related to your website's keywords. These are the true loyal visitors that come back to your website again and again in search of better content from your website.

Use Google Search Console

Before applying to Google Adsense remember to use Google's Search Console. Webmaster tools also help a lot in giving some important information and suggestions about your website like suitable keywords and search engine queries etc. They help to get all your website's pages indexed to all the Google Search Engines throughout the world.

Google Adsense Alternatives

Google Adsense released in 2003 still is better than other advertising sites because Google Adsense automatically puts relevant ads on your website related to your site's content and/or relevant keywords of our website, but today their are advertising networks like Chitika, and others, I've written a list of Adsense Alternatives here, who still can't compete with Google Adsense and its success till date, even with their efforts combined.

Ad Example

Now for the ads, for example you have a website regarding Football, then the Adsense ads will be displayed regarding to the subject keyword, i.e., football or soccer. Ads will be displayed for keywords like buying football, football shops or sports shop, football training centers etc.

The visitor visiting your website will obviously click on your site's ad because if he is there for some football then he would obviously find that ad useful.

Google Adsense Payment Method

Google Adsense pays through different methods to people living in the US or outside it. Google Adsense pays you via cheque or Western Union Fast Money Transfer if you live outside the US.

Adsense for Search

You can even earn extra revenue through a Google Search Box on your website. If someone searches through your Adsense for Search Google Search Engine placed on your website provided by Google Adsense and clicks on the sponsored links, you would be paid for that visitors click. They have also started showing ads in Custom search engines.

How Geographical visitor targeting helps you

The amount you earn per click depends on the geographical residence of that visitor. For example, a US visitor's click is the highest that I've been paid for till now, clicks from visitors from Pakistan usually earn a cent or 33 cents (at the most) for me. So, this is useful information for you for targeting users which have a geographical residence where your Google Adsense income will be high.

Post Summary

Don't forget to try Google Adsense for Search and Domains which can give you a handful of money. The Adsense for feeds ended a long time in 2012.

Even though millions of website developers and bloggers have earned over millions from Google Adsense, yet they never run out of money, just because they've got so many advertisers ready to spend money on their content, even these publishers become advertisers on Google Adwords so that they may get additional traffic.

Although the merit of Google Adsense has gone high and not much possible for some bloggers to even get an account, but though every one tries hard for it and the result is worth it.

Google Adsense has become more of a trend for scamming but Google has also started disabling such accounts that use false means to earn from Adsense. And yet those work hard with their content succeed with it.

Well, I don't want to write more, don't have much words left but all I can say is that Don't forget to follow my blog Ali Khan Blogs on facebook Twitter.
