Are you losing out on your website traffic? Do you think that the rank of your website is going down? If yes then getting tensed would not help you in any manner. The key thing is that you should drill down to the problem. The traffic rate of a website does fluctuate but that is mostly in case of new websites.

If a website is established and has a reputation, this problem does not exist in most cases. For webmasters, it’s important to carry out SEO analysis after few months to rectify the problems affecting their SEO plan.

Reasons why the Organic Traffic rate is Declining In 2019 - AKBlogs

A new website layout

Have you redesigned your website and removed all the old pages? If yes then this may be a prime reason for reduced traffic. When your website is listed on Google, the pages are indexed so that they can appear in the searched results. Websites that are not indexed do not appear when users type a related research.

For example, consider that a website selling sports goods has been designed but it has not been indexed on Google. When users type “best sports goods” or any similar text in the search box, this particular website would not be displayed as it would not be indexed.
  • When the layout of a website is redesigned completely, the older pages are deleted at times. This removes the indexing and the website does not appear any longer in the searched results. As a result, users are unable to view the website. It is obvious that when people are unable to view a website, its traffic rate declines at a quick pace.
  • Keeping a regular check on the website traffic is absolutely essential. Most website owners do not adopt this practice. As a result, when the traffic on their website starts decreasing, they do not know how to handle things. By using a professional analytics tool like Google Analytics, you can keep a check on how website is performing in terms of traffic. A good traffic count obviously helps in getting more searches and conversions.

Slow website response rate

The website speed directly depends on the data size uploaded on each page. The heavier the pages, the slower will be the website. Usually websites that are highly informative do not have attractive loading speeds. Users are quite impatient and for them, the speed of a website is more important than the content it provides. Most users are not prepared to wait till the website loads. If you are losing out on traffic and analytics show that less people are browsing your website, the slow loading speed may be a reason.
  • If the website is slow, you would have to optimize pages. Reduce the data size so that users do not have to wait. Videos, images and animations increase the data size on a web page. Thus, if you have uploaded any unnecessary images or videos, optimize the page by removing them. Unnecessary images can reduce the page loading speed of the website and make it slower.
  • Business owners do have the opinion that the more informative a website is, the better would be the traffic rate. However, this strategy does not work well if the website speed is being hampered. Let us go through an example. Consider that you visit a product website to make a purchase but the page loading pace is too slow. In such cases, users would not have the patience to wait for the page to load. Thus, it is obvious that even if you have the most informative website, the concept would not work. On the other hand, if a website has limited information but loads quickly, users would surely prefer it.
  • Losing traffic may have several reasons and slow website loading speed is one of them. Keeping a check on the website loading speed of your competitors would surely provide help. As a user, visit the website of your competitors to see the loading speeds that their websites have. If you see that your website is slower, it would be a key reason due reduced traffic. With so much competition, it is important for websites to have less loading time.

Plagiarized content can result in low traffic

What is the purpose of content. The key goal is to get the attention of readers. When people visit your website and go through the information that has been provided, they may get impressed if you have provided what they seek. For instance, if someone is searching for high quality leather bags and your website has quality content on it, you would get immediate conversions. However, this is obviously not as easy as it seems.
  • Hard work, research and content research is the only way to create a positive impression in the mind of the buyer. Why should a customer consider you and not any other website? This question should always be present in your mind. Quality content is a powerful constituent that drives traffic to your website. Websites that regular unique content never have traffic related issues.
  • As it is mentioned above, in-depth research, thorough analysis and detailed paraphrasing are needed to produce original top notch content. Other than that, to ensure that there are no originality problems, it is recommended to use a plagiarism checking application as well, check out this proof read bot for online grammar checking and proofreading.
  • Plagiarized content has dual negative effects. For instance, you would start losing customers as they would not have anything new to read. Websites that have copied content fail to engage the customers and expand their traffic rate as well. Submitting copied content leaves the impression that no effort has been invested for creating content. It is obvious that this reduces the trust of the customer and he starts looking at websites with unique information. Some websites use spinning softwares to modify existing content but this is not a recommended strategy in any manner. Search engines, particularly Google, do not encourage the use of spinning softwares to create content. So, plagiarized content evaluation is necessary for the writers.
  • Another key negative aspect of submitting copied content is violation of search engine policies. Google has strict procedures for content originality and it is not the most used search engine without a reason. Website owners need to understand how a website is gauged in terms of quality. If the traffic on your website is low, it would be mainly because of substandard content. The standard of content on website is pivotal for deciding its rank. If you go through the top rated websites listed in a category, you would realize that all of them have the finest content written after detailed research. If your website does not have well researched content, it would be hard to engage the reader and convince him to spend money. In other words, lack of quality content can adversely affect both traffic and conversions.

Complications and lack of understanding

Why would people spend time on a website when they fail to understand it? This does happen when a website has a complicated interface which people fail to understand. For instance, it is hard for users to digest too much information. If they feel that a website is overloaded with facts, they would get frustrated and leave the website. Brands that have simple websites win the hearts of the customers resulting in improved traffic rate.
  • A website should be easy to interpret. If someone is ending up on the landing page, he would be able to browse around without a lot of help. Websites that have a complicated architecture create navigation issues for the user. If someone is not tech savvy, he would even be unable to move between pages. Thus, before concentrating on technological advancements, make sure that user experience is not being compromised at any stage.
User experience is absolutely important. A website can only grow in terms of traffic if people enjoy spending time on it. The moment people feel that website is complicated; they would obviously look for simpler options. A potential customer may not be interested in reading through everything. If he finds his desired chunk of information easily, he may not see the other content areas. On the other hand, if he keeps searching for several hours and still does not get what he is looking for, he would obviously not be encouraged to spend his precious time on browsing the website again.
  • It is important to keep the website simple in terms of interface and content arrangement. This can be done by considering yourself in place of the customer. In addition to that, compare your website to the other options in terms of usability. You should have a simpler interface than your competitors to get more traffic. If people witness that competitor websites are simpler to use and understand, the traffic count on your website would obviously go down.

Conclusion

The traffic on a website proves to be beneficial in a number of ways. First of all, it grows the reputation of the website. A reputed website obviously gets more traffic as it is considered dependable. Other than that, it helps in business terms as well. When a website has an overall high traffic rate, it gets more conversions which mean better sales volumes.

A “power ruling” may be applied to some older posts, which are able to drive more traffic to our blogs even sometimes they are not constructed by following all principles of SEO.

Why it is significant to update old blog posts?

A big ‘food for thought,’you might be wondering that if a post is already driving more visitors to your website why is it necessary to update that post. Here is the answer, first analyse which post is playing that essential role of attraction; it is necessary to update that post because it will allow your readers to read more about that topic with new and better details. It will also enhance the probability of those visitors to visit your website often. Moreover, giving them a kick of curiosity to explore more articles.

How to analyse which posts must be updated?

Now, this is the part where you take decisions which forces you to think about the selection of topics, which posts must be updated and which should be left without streamlining. First of all make a list of all articles like we did, and following these steps will help you more:
  • Do some statistical analysis whether updating this topic costs you more or it will drive more traffic
  • Analyse the rankings of your blog posts, updating these topics will include your blog in the list of first 10-20 or 5-25 of blogs or not
  • Check the monthly search volume of that topic
  • Weigh the estimated time for streamlining with estimated traffic
  • Calculate the specific budget for one time modernization, than roughly estimate that, if you repeat the same procedure after a month or two; is it affordable for you?

Process of updating blog posts

This process of updating old posts includes few steps, which are listed below:

Refreshing anchors

If you are adding more relevant links to your post, whether these links are internal or external it is a good step towards improvement. Moreover, remove all old irrelevant links, which do not support your topics or writing.

Remove broken links as it impacts negative SEO, use this tool to check for unwanted links.

Updating those queries, which do not demand freshness

If your article is about technology or new inventions or any scientific topic, which demands more fresh material to be added in it; it is a good idea to add new content in it. Otherwise, if your topic is about history or any other topic, which do not require new material to be added in it; marketing those articles will not profit your aim.

Adding helping material

Add some amazing facts, formulae or keywords related to your topic, which helps your reader to enhance his or her knowledge and allow him to search more about that topic.

A Simple Tip

Tip for improvement is; you must not add the content, which deviates from the topic it will lessen your reader's attention towards the article.

Change your time stamp of your blog post “published on” to “last updated” and actually adding noticeable fresh material in the form of new tags, information or keywords. It will grab more attention from your reader. This helps updating old blog posts for driving more traffic.

Getting Foreign traffic through Free Google Translate tool

The search engines that these foreign users use don't show search results in English like Chinese, Russian search engines, so the major part of the non-English using internet users don't have even a single link to come to a blog or website which is completely based on English language, like your blog.

The one way you can get these users to come to your website or blog is to start submitting your website or blog to the popular search engines of their locale. I've already written an article about pinging a blog to the popular search engines of the world.

But you can still get these users and eventually double or triple the number of your website visitors by using a simple tool called Google Translate tool.
Click here to go to the Google Translate tool webpage
Choose your webpage's specifications and get the code, add it to your website. Any web user from the entire world can now visit your webpage by just searching on Google because Google translate tool automatically pings each of your blog posts or web pages to all the Google Search Engines and submit all your pages/posts to the respective Google Search engine used in any local language.

This will also help those visitors that have come to your website using non-English browser through some link by showing a bannner which allows them to translate your website. This helps a lot in driving non-english speaking nation's traffic to a blog.

I'll be updating this post specially, to give you some important information about getting traffic from translate tools, etc.

SEO Techniques 2018 - Content writing basic techniques

The SEO techniques of 2018 that you ought to know before writing a blog post are not that tough to understand. All you need is to keep going through each of these techniques in detail to get the perfect SEO score for your blog post. Keep in mind that these are mostly on-page optimization techniques, with a couple of off page SEO techniques mentioned at the end.

SEO Techniques 2018 – Content writing basic techniques

All SEO Techniques, either on-page or off-page, when applied perfectly, will help your blog post in reaching the maximum potential that it can get from search engines. Backlinks are important part of SEO and are very helpful if you get it from the same category website as yours.

But the on page optimization of a blog post is what that makes search engines know about the search keywords and key phrases to rank it for. The following is a list of SEO techniques that I will discuss with you in detail. They are:

A Short and meaningful Link Structure

You blog post link should be short and unique for each blog post. A long link doesn’t make at the top of google search engine result pages because google prefers short and search accurate links for the top. Also when sharing links users prefer to click links that give out a message, like for example a link like this is easily understood and clicked by any viewer:
akblogs.com/2018/09/increase-domain-authority.html
It describes some things about the blog post too, like the blog posts name and main keyword and what the blog post is about. Also the date of publishing of the blog post is mentioned.

Your main focus should be to make your website links short and accurate regarding your main keyword. A link character length of 50~65 characters is preferred by search engines.

Subheadings

Your content should be divided into paragraphs and headings and all or some headings should have subheadings which includes using h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6 tags. This organizes data for the search engine bot and tells the bot about your post and everything included in the post.

Heading tags should be between 15 and 65 characters
The heading tags of a post are of 5 types. They are:
  1. H1
  2. H2
  3. H3
  4. H4
  5. H5
  6. H6

H1 tag is the title tag of a post. This tag belongs to the title of the post and should not be used by any other text except the title. Using this tag twice would harm your blog post’s SEO as well as not using it.

H2 tags and all following tags are subheading that are used to format text documents. From H2 tags and onwards, the size of headings as well as their hierarchical value keeps on decreasing step by step.

Paragraphs should not be too long

Your content, divided into paragraphs, is further divided into sentences. Make sure not to stuff all the data and information into one single long paragraph. Separating data and information into well-defined paragraphs each of which has a different and unique subject will help users get a better view of your content. This will also enhance the appealing look of the written content material.

Either your content has only text or has images in it, make sure to divide each paragraph according to the changes in subject. If, however, you cannot shorten a paragraph based on its subject, make sure to cut the paragraphs into further paragraphs each of which has at most 5 sentences.

Sentences should be no longer than 20 words

When I say this I make sure to give you an example from this very article. As you can see none of the sentences is very long. At most I presume each of the sentences is almost 10~15 words long. This will make the paragraph appealing and your content will be formatted accordingly.

But if you encounter longer sentences which are more than 20 words long. They will not affect your content’s SEO but rather make your content less appealing. Also a person’s interest may lessen when reading longer sentences. Make sure to divide these to shorter sentences that are not longer than 20 words.

Keywords or keyphrases should be unique for each post

Keywords are most important for a website’s SEO. Choosing one for each post should be such that no two posts have the same keywords. Although inorder to write within your website’s niche, you might want to do it. But this is not a good approach.

As search engines can detect that your website is trying to spam them by using the same keyword again and again. Choose your focus keywords wisely for related posts. You need to change atleast one word from your long tail keyword to not make it the same as any other post.

Meta description should be present

Meta description is a short description below each search result that gives a brief description about the blog post or article. It helps the people searching to get a good idea of the searched content.

Your blog post should have a meta description. The rule of thumb for this is your blog post’s meta description should not be the title of the blog post. As blog posts that have the same post title and meta description tend to get their meta description removed by search engines when the blog post is indexed. Instead the search engines show text from the blog post instead.

Meta description should be 120~150 characters long

The best SEO practice in 2018 is to keep your blog post’s meta description from 120 to 150 characters. The reason being that any number of characters exceeding the 150th are removed from the search results. So it doesn’t really matter how much you write. This is one of the very important SEO techniques. So the 150th character should be the final character that should be under your consideration while writing a blog post’s meta description.

You should write a brief and to the point description for your posts. Most importantly, don’t forget to add your blog post’s keyword or keyphrase in your meta description. Which is kind of hard, but it has to be done for the better SEO of your blog post.

There should not be multiple meta description tags.

The meta tag, , should not be repeated within a blog post. Same like having multiple h1 title tags, multiple meta tags reduce your blog post’s SEO score. This is one of the very important SEO techniques.

The blog post should not be less than 300 words

Length of an article is an important part of any blog post. What if you went to a site looking for good material on “how to do stuff” and after about 50 words of description, the post shows you an embedded video from youtube on “how to do stuff” and that’s it. The post ends there.

Although the video is to the point and describes perfectly the content “how to do stuff”. But according to google search bot, the blog post has only few words. Almost 50 in this case, excluding title and meta description words.

It is highly unlikely that your post gets to the target potential you want. So the obvious solution to this is to write content that explains the problem as well as all the alternatives of its solution. You don’t need to remove the video but you do need to add more content regarding your problem “how to do stuff”. Add your own experience or hire a professional writer to add content for you.

According to Neil Patel’s SEO analyzer, content rich pages are likely to rank high in search engine result pages.

Your blog posts should have atleast 1 external links

Links of a webpage are further divided into two types. This division is based on the target site’s address. These are
  1. External links
  2. Internal links

External links are those type of links that are pointed towards an outside website. Either you own the outside website or not is irrelevant. As long as the linked page does not belong to the same domain, it is considered an external link.

These type of links are further divided into two types.
  1. Do follow links
  2. No follow links

The type of external link you use is irrelevant, however atleast one external link should exist within an article. This is considered to make an article diverse. Do follow links are considered an important part of guest blogging.

Your blog posts should have atleast 1 internal links

The second type of link that a webpage can have and in our case, should have, is an internal link. The internal link from a post to a relevant post builds a better link structure. Not only does this improves your site’s visibility but also its relevance to a new user.

Atleast one internal link is necessary to make up for a site’s SEO. Google checks all the pages that a page links to and is linked from, so if google bot sees relevant links pointing to a domain it will definitely increase its authority.

Your blog post’s title should be at most 75 characters long

The blog post’s title, also the h1 tag, is an important part of a blog post’s SEO structure. You should keep in mind that a good title consists of two parts. One is the main focus keywords, it should always have the main focus keywords in it. The other is a bunch of text that makes it being click worthy.

Click worthy means that if a person searching for the focus keywords, looks into your page and he should click on it. Not clicking it would mean that your post title was not click worthy so he passed it for a better search result.

Your blog posts should have not dynamic links in it

Links that are always changing are called dynamic links. If you are using tags, every time you post a new blog post, all your tags are automatically configured according to the new blog post. These tags have pages linked to them that keep on changing as you post new articles within these tags.

It is a good practice to minimize their use.

Compress your images beforehand

Compress all your images before uploading them to your website. The size of images plays an important role in your webpage’s page speed which is an important SEO factor while considering a website’s efficiency.

Google hates slow loading sites, so it’s better to compress all images beforehand. You can use tools like imagecompressor for this.

All images within a blog post should have ALT attributes

Alt tags are important for describing an image to a search bot. Since search bots don’t know what an image is about, alt tags help them identifying what the image is about. This way search bots index your images for related image searches that drive traffic to your website through images.

All images within a blog post should have ALT attributes

Your blog posts should have atleast 1 image

It is quite obvious that without images you can’t really attract visitors. When sharing on social media, a good post title with a nicely drawn graphic image will boost the number of your website’s click. Without images it is hard to sell a topic which is only text.

Your blog posts should have lots of backlinks

The only two SEO techniques in this article that are off page SEO techniques are these two. These are related to your post’s quality and relevance to a specific topic and niche. Also these are important SEO techniques so their importance cannot be neglected.

Getting a backlink from a same niche site will increase your blog’s domain authority and your blog post’s page authority. Also since domain authority is directly related to your website’s SEO score, it will also improve your website’s SEO ranking.

Your website’s backlinks determine the quantity of search visits your website gets. Work hard on getting relevant backlinks from high domain authority websites.

Your blog posts should have a high number of indexed pages

Finally submit your website to Google and Bing search engine consoles to get the most out of your blog’s SEO. You won’t want to do all this effort and not get any result so always submit your blog posts and articles to these search engines every time.

Define Contextual Advertising | What is Contextual Advertising?

Contextual advertising as the name suggests, is advertising based on the text of an article or webpage, (includes both website pages and blog posts) it can be more briefly defined as:

Advertising based on the context of a webpage is called contextual advertising

Mostly people don't understand the correct meaning of context advertising so that's why I'm writing this brief post.

Define Contextual Advertising | What is Contextual Advertising?

Define Contextual Advertising | What is Contextual Advertising?

Contextual advertising refers to displaying ads on a website related to the text, images, videos, graphics and other media of your webpage. Advertising websites use different techniques like crawlers and sitemaps which lets them know about the niche of your website.

The quantity of words helps those crawlers to determine the exact niche of websites. That is why it is recommended to write long articles which use more and more of the key words which best describe your website. It helps them to get better idea of the niche of your website.

What is Niche?

Niche is defined as the specialty or distinct direction of a website. Like there are different categories a blog can be divided into:
  • Technology
  • Lifestyle
  • Cooking
  • Designing
  • Vlogs (short for video blogs)
  • Parody Blogs
  • Business Related
  • Professional Blogs

And there are so many other types of blogs. You can almost say that if a person started to write about a new topic it would fall in one of these categories or niches is the right word.
Once the topic is decided, the content inside the blog acts some what like a branch of a big tree.

Internet Advertising Giants

There are advertising websites on the internet that use this information from the website to show relevant ads. To name a few Google Adsense, Infolinks and Chitika are a few of them. All these are using the concept of contextual advertising to make millions of businesses find their relevant audiences through different campaigns. But one special website that is also using this concept is

Internet Advertising Giants Facebook

Facebook

Yes, it is facebook. In the second quarter of 2017 facebook gained a hefty sum of 9.32 billion dollars only through online advertising. With over two billion users facebook is definitely the world's largest social network. But how does facebook use the concept of contextual advertising?

Its not like we share our interests with facebook or anything... oh wait. Every page you like describes your interest, even its educational or entertainment, facebook can use this information to categorize you.

Ever had a page on facebook, every now and then facebook gives page owners the option to "Boost  Post" or "Boost Page".

Facebook Promote Website Button

Facebook then prompts you to select type of audience that best suits your page according to the interests you point out for your page.

Facebook Boost Post Options

This not only works for facebook pages and posts but also independent websites and blogs that want to gain audience attention through social media marketing. Although according to experts of social media marketing "if you are paying for it, you're not doing it right," but it does get the job done.

8 Ways on How to get Website traffic using Google Search Console

Google Search Console formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools is one of the most powerful tools for whitehat SEO bloggers who wish to blog and earn in a legal long term way. In this article I will explain to you 8 different ways on how to get website traffic using Google Search Console.

Google deserves most of a website developer's attention as a traffic source because Google actually controls the search engine market. Because, well, its the biggest search engine on the internet and also the no. 1 website according to Alexa website rankings. With no other search engine coming even close to google in terms of ranking and popularity.

Although Yahoo did have a good run in the beginning but it fell drastically for the search engine.

How to get Website traffic using Google Search Console

SEO analysts say that nearly 60% of all the website traffic that a particular website gets is from a search engine or Google, that's simply amazing. It is the biggest source of traffic for any new website and I also recommend it to you to pay attention to Google as much as possible.

There are some steps or you can call them tips, that I am going to mention below, pay attention to these steps and your website or blog can get popular just because of them and Google. They are:

1# Submit your website or blog's sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools

If you submit a sitemap of your website or blog to Google Webmaster Tools, it informs the Google search engine of what pages or posts, in short all of your website's or blog's content, you have on the website or blog.

This is good for you because Google sends its Google Bot to crawl on all of your pages and posts, and return with all the content it finds. The Google Bot then indexes this content to the Google search engine.

Related Posts: Best Blogging platforms other then Blogger

2# Try to know what sort of keywords to target before writing your article

To improve your traffic rank on the Google search engine, it's best to think about what keywords you want people to find you using. This might sound authentic but remember that the more popular keywords you target, the more competition you get from other website developers and bloggers, and you're unlikely to score high against them.

Instead think about phrases and word (including synonyms) that are less popular but you can easily rank higher for them. This will give you a higher score in the website search for that keyword and your website or blog ranking gets higher slowly and slowly.

How to get Website traffic using Google Search Console

3# Do not even try to upset Google through some false, strange or odd idea

If you upset Google through questionable practices or gaming your system, they are going to remove you from their search index once and for all. Now you cannot get back there no matter what you do and how hard you try.

Remember that this will remove not only the text content from Google Search results but will also remove all of your website's videos, images, etc. located on Google videos, Google Images, etc.

4# Submit your website to Google manually if you are using a New Domain

If you are using a new domain for your website or blog, submit your blog to Add URL to Google manually. It helps your website or blog a lot, if your website or blog is not already indexed by Google.

New domains usually take some time to be indexed by the Google bot, they are kept in the Google Sand Box till they are indexed by Google Bot.

Related Posts: Best Blogging platforms other then Blogger

5# Update your website on a regulary basis

The Google search engine favours websites and blogs content that is new and changing frequently. Writing new website content/information on a regular basis ensures you about Google that Google indexes your website on a regular basis.

The more you write, the more quickly your posts and pages get indexed by Google. For some popular websites and blogs, Google indexes their new posts or pages within hours of publishing.

6# Try Interacting with other websites and blogs of the same niche as yours, leaving back links to your own website or blog

If you interact with other bloggers' and website developers' blogs and websites, by posting comments, then when their domain is indexed by any search engine, like Yahoo, Google, etc., it can follow the link back to your website or blog too.

This helps a lot and some say that it is one of the mightiest tools for getting back-links.

Use Images and index them to Google Images

Google Images can bring in new visitors too. Remember that Google is the biggest traffic source for any website now-a-days.

Place a website sitemap, latest posts widget, popular posts widget or recent posts widget in your website or blog's sidebar

Placing a sitemap, latest posts widget, popular posts widget or recent posts widget in the website's or blog's sidebar also gives your viewers a clear view about what is in your blog or website and this helps in driving quality traffic which are demanding your content.

Adding Google +1 Button to Websites and Blogs

How about adding Google +1 button to websites and blogs? The Google +1 button has recently been added by Google for its users to recommend a certain blog post, blog, website, webpage or article the user's friends, family and all the other users that are connected to that user through social media like Yahoo, Twitter, etc.

The +1 button is a shortened form of the phrase "This seemed pretty cool to me" or "You should see this, because I found it useful."

Adding Google +1 Button to Websites and Blogs

Clicking the Google +1 button for a particular webpage will publicly give that webpage the user's stamp of approval, that you prefer this search result which may either be a webpage, blog, blog post, website, etc. Your +1's can help friends, contacts, and others on the web to find the best search results when they search for a term related to that to which you have clicked the Google +1 button.
To get the Google +1 button, visit:

    Developers.Google.com/+/web/+1button

This will lead you to Google Webmaster tools Google +1 Button Configuration page. Choose the appropriate size of the Google +1 button, as you desire, and simply copy the code given below and paste it in to your website/blog's source HTML.

On the other hand, you can place the following code in the body section of your website/blog's HTML or any other place where you want to put the Google +1 button.

<!-- Place this tag where you want the +1 button to render --><g:plusone size="tall"></g:plusone>
    <!-- Place this tag after the last plusone tag --><script type="text/javascript">  (function() {    var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true;    po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js';    var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);  })();</script>

This is the code of the tall (60 pixel) Google +1 Button, which is my personal favourite. Placing it just above the post title tag will give it a better click opportunity rate, incase of blogger users.
